Sharon Harrington leads the operations of Amediate, LLC., as a principal and Managing Organizational Communication Consultant. Her primary professional concentration is in all areas of conflict navigation and she has been in the mix of workplace conflict for over twenty years.
Helping Organizations Navigate ConflictThrough her commitment and dedication, she has worked to assist organizations in navigating conflict by facilitating workplace learning in self-medicating skills, investigating elevated claims of workplace discrimination and mediating conflict in efforts of resolution. She has been credited in her ability to objectively listen and gather the information that tells the complete and factual story, thus creating an environment where she is highly trusted by both sides of the conflict.
As a communication professional her beliefs are rooted in the power of effective interpersonal communication skills and her certainty that those skills can be enhanced with training and practice. Education and MembershipsShe is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), Association for Talent Development (ATD) formerly American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) and Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She holds an MA degree in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University and a BA degree in Public Relations/Journalism from Kent State University. She also holds a certificate in Federal Workplace Mediation from George Mason University, a FAD (Federal Agency Decision) certificate from the EEOC Institute and professional certification as a CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning Performance) in instructional design.
